Back in 2017, I was working around the clock on launching my own business. While I had funds to get it going (bare bones style!), there were still lots of items on my wish list left uncrossed of things I’d want to have be part of my business. One day my husband walked up to me while I was busy working on a deadline, and to my surprise hands me some money he had saved up and said to me:
“I just want to show you that I love your dream and I want to be part of it”
As my husband said those words to me, I found grace in love, validation for my dream and assurance for my journey ahead. And no matter how much time has passed by, still today, those words echo in my heart and instill in me a great sense of confidence, grace and love.
Each new day, we show up to work on dreams of our own. We show up for things and people that are very significant in our lives. From dreams we’ve never shared to those we continually speak of, from our closest of family and friends, to church family, work relationships, or meetings for the very first time, each new day we show up to build into an aspect of our life, into a dream, into a relationship, into something we hope for. No matter our diligence and commitment into showing up, it’s good to remember that God showed up ahead of us. He knew exactly what we are hoping for, He knows the effort and the sacrifice that has gone into it, and He waited excitingly as we slept to greet us today and has drawn near to us to say: “I just want to show you that I love”.
There are so many areas in our lives that He loves! God loves our:
Just look at how you’ve faced trials! You’ve survived all your worst days to date!
He is the ultimate peace maker, through Him we can have peace through any season.
With Him we can overcome any hard season and watch Him turn it around for good.
He is God the creator and we are creatives created by God.
THE WORK OF OUR HANDS
If it’s important to you, it’s important to Him and He loves seeing you turn nothing into something as you outwork the gifting upon your life.
Yet as good as so many aspects of our life may be, sometimes so many of us feel like we are:
not good enough
not strong enough
not pretty or handsome enough
not smart enough
But I challenge those statements and I want to remind you that God showed up in your life today to tell you that:
YOU ARE ENOUGH. You are made in His image and in Him you have everything you need.
Yes what YOU NEED is important. What YOU FEEL is important. These are factors that are telling you about the state of your soul. They are guiding factors to what YOU need to seek out from HIM. In response to those needs God shows up to say:
“I JUST WANT TO SHOW YOU THAT I LOVE”.
Because as HE shows YOU that He loves, your needs are met. Your insecurities about yourself have to flee. The life you know has to change. When He shows up to show you that HE LOVES, His love makes all the difference. His love speaks worth into your heart and His love rescues your soul.
So as you go about your day today, let Him show you that He loves. Let Him show you that He’s never stopped caring. Through the pursuit of your dreams, let Him comfort the areas of your life that you need HIM to step into. Let Him make you resilient and alive like never before. Let Him show you that He loves.
As you interact with others today, and as He shows you love, be the love that others can see and identify with. Be the love that the hope that lives inside of others came out so desperately to seek. As God says to you “I just want to show YOU that I LOVE”, through your life you can say to others: “I just want to show YOU that HE LOVES”.
So let’s let our guards down, let’s let our preconceptions melt away as we allow this verse to speak directly to both the insecurities and the strong areas of our life:
“To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy— to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.” -Jude 1:24-25 NIV
Today, let’s allow Him to show us that HE LOVES.
